  • Join the Queens of Pain on a mixed ride, (usually on) the first Monday of the month. We already open our bigger events to everyone but some of our guy pals have been keen to jump on the QoP bandwagon on a more regular basis. As our Wednesday rides are a sacred safe space for the cycling WTNB community, we will run these mixed rides once a month. These rides will run with the same ethos and values as all our events.

This month, we'll meet at John Lewis and start with a couple of climbs before descending towards Leith and wiggling our way back via bike paths and cobbles. Route below.

No drops as always. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOM/KOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet!

A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube or plugs to fix a puncture is a must and some basic tools would be helpful but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).

Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and well-being.

  • Apologies for the 11th hour cancellation, folks - was super up for my first Mixed Monday but I've contracted a lurgy and am going nowhere fast. Next time.

  • No bother @keith.kirkwood. Hope to catch you on the next one. Feel better soon.
