Hey gang!
This week we are meeting at Haymarket, by the bike lock-ups next to the Starbucks. Good news for all of you west-city folk :).
We're gonna run a Cramond Loop and we'll split into two groups: a power pedal gang (18kph min speed) leaving at 7 pm sharp on the dot, and the usual social party pace group leaving at 7:05.
Regardless of whether you go for the party or power pedal option both groups will be no drop. Please let us know in the comments below which ride you are likely to go for so that we have a number estimate. No problem if you change your mind on the day. We are just trying to avoid having one large 20-people group.
Everything else stays the same: we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we are in rainy, icy season and we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tire is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).

Hi guys,
Ride now officially cancelled, we are sorry to miss out this week!
It's almost Wednesday ride o'clock! This week we're meeting @Bristo Sq where @Ruby will take us on a loop around town. Depending on how many people show up we'll split into two smaller no drop & party pace groups.

Yellooow!
We are going back to the original start point: John Lewis for this week. Route TBD, but likely going south.
Since we've been enjoying a good turnout lately we're giving you the option to join either a party or a power pedal group. The power pedal will leave at 7 pm on the dot and will run at a min speed of 18kph . The usual social party pace group will leave at 7:05.
Regardless of whether you go for the party or power pedal option both groups will be no drop. Please let us know in the comments below which ride you are likely to go for so that we have a number estimate. No problem if you change your mind on the day. Hello!
We are gonna trial our 4th new starting point this week: up north in Leith Links. The meetup spot is just across Twelve Triangles (which will sadly be closed at this time). Dreaming about croissants we will have a little pedal to Porty and back (route to follow shortly). Back to running one party pace group this week. But not to worry, we run alternative power pedal options soon!
No drop as always as we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Hello everyone,
We are going to trial a couple of new things for this week's ride since our meetups have been so HOT the last weeks.
First thing is that we are starting off from Haymarket (by the bike lock-ups next to the Starbucks )! Good news for all of you west-city folk :).
The second announcement is that we are going to run two different groups. The usual social party pace group will leave at 7:05 and will be led by @AlisonD going on a clockwise loop to Crammond and back (route in next post). @Adna will lead a second power pedal group that will do the same loop anticlockwise with a minimum speed of 18kph which will leave sharp on the dot at 7 pm.
Regardless of whether you go for the party or power pedal option both groups will be no drop. Please let us know in the comments below which ride you are likely to go for so that we have a number estimate. No problem if you change your mind on the day. We are just trying to avoid having one large 20people group.

Howdy gang!
Listen carefully as we are trialling out a new meeting spot this week - Bristo Square, bang in the centre of the city. I repeat, don't show up in front of John Lewis but make your way down south instead.
We're gonna run one of Adna's favourite loops down south, up and over the Braid Hills (on the road) and back up north.
Nothing else will change, we are still gonna set off at 7 pm and this is still a strictly no-drop ride. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. See you all on Wednesday @Bristo Square!

It's the second QoP ride of the year, let's keep going :)
Issy will pull together a 15km city loop and will lead her first ride - so join us for her urban adventure ride!
Meet up is in front of John Lewis for a 7pm departure! Check the weather forecast and layer up or down appropriately.

Almost there guys, aaaaalmooost there!
I'm gonna run a little central city loop out to the National Gallery back around the castle and up on Calton Hill. Kimberly came up with this route a couple of days back and it sort of looked like a pigeon strava art. Keen to give it another go :)
Meet up is in front of John Lewis for a 7pm departure! Wear your thick gloves and your cosiest base layer and be prepared for some drizzle.

Ho Ho Ho!
It's time for a little festive ride - and when we say little we mean it. Dust off your Christmas themed lycra as Ruby will lead us on a surprise tour of Edinburgh central (ish) for about an hour after which we will finish off at Charlotte's house (near the Botanics) for some mince pies and mulled wine. Thanks Charlotte for hosting us, you are the best and now the whole world knows it!
Before we get carried away remember that meet up is in front of John Lewis for a 7pm departure! The sooner we leave the sooner we eat mince pies, simples!
Wear your thick gloves and your cosiest base layer.

Shalom!
No one complained audibly last week.... so Adna is gonna run another untested suburban loop with a northwest twist. Fingers crossed she doesn't get lost, or if she does, toes crossed that nobody notices. Provisional route here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/573686293
