We're gonna go classy and bring out a 'vintage' QoP route. If you weren't there for our very first ride, now you'll know what you missed! This week we'll be starting at the Meadows, meander through the Grange on our way up and across the Braids: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1335651534
Please remember to bring fully charged lights as the nights are here, and with us for a while...
Setting off at 7pm this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help)
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but by signing up for this ride, you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.

Hello Hello Hello,
Short and punchy route this week as we'll attempt to take over central Edinburgh and conquer its three finest peaks: https://www.komoot.com/tour/944390064
Not a worry - everyone climbs at their own pace and we regroup at the top of every climb. You can race it, grind it or even walk it! This might be just what the doctor ordered as a fine training session for a Kaimes Hill climb race planned for later in September. Bring lights!
Setting off at 7pm this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. The air is cooling down, the nights are drawing in and this can only mean that it's time for another Women's 100 ride!
This year we've prepared a Tour of the Forth as gentle 100k loop, with only a couple of modest climbs at the beginning as we make our way towards Queensferry and then the same as we make our way back to the city. We've chosen quiet paths and more importantly amazing views over the water on both sides, and with a couple of surprises thrown in for good measure. Route here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1225309483
Did we mention that we have not one, not two but three cafe / snack stops planned? If this doesn't seal the deal, I don't know what will.
This ride is for anyone who wants company on a chatty 100km pace but especially anyone who is wary tackling the big 100km. Nobody, and we really mean NOBODY will be left behind. We're starting at 9am and we've got all day to get back to Edinburgh.
This is an unsupported ride (albeit in very supportive company), which means brings your own tools, spare tubes, spare lights, plenty of snacks and water, etc. Don't worry if you are not super confident with bike maintenance, there will be lot's of people around that are happy to offer assistance where needed. It's not going to hurt to do an M check on your bike a couple of days before setting off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qtx60bcNk0
We encourage those who have GPS devices to download the route or keep it handy on your phone. This is a no-drops group, however, in the unlikely event we get separated, it's good to have it to hand. While we hope that the weather won't be too moody, we do ask that you check it on the day and layer appropriately.
Can't wait to see you all and you're beautiful steeds on Sunday. Any questions, leave a comment here or DM us on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/queens.of.pain.cc/

Hey QoP!

We will set off at 7pm for a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Let's roll on a mid-week after work adventure!
We are trying something new. This is not our classic party pace guided ride. Instead - you decide the pace and the time when you want to leave home so that you make it to the chippy in Bo'ness before they close at 7pm! If you are feeling social use the comments section below or the whatsapp group to find a ride buddy. If you want to race it - go for it! If you want to take your time and have a fun afternoon out- you do you! No matter how you get there- the mass finish means that we will enjoy some top notch deep fried foods in one classy establishment as a group (you'll know what I mean once you get there).
Suggested route for the ride: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1198540734 . A bit shy of 33k, of which approximately 4-5kms are unpaved but on good quality compacted gravel tracks (ok on a road bike, have tested on 28mm and 32mm slicks). I'd suggest aiming for a 6:30pm finish to have time to order and eat.
Return to the city by following the same track back or save your legs the trouble and catch a train from Linlithgow (6km ride away, 3-4 trains every hour, £6 and 20min later you're back to Waverley). There'll be more people around for impromptu group rides back if that's your jam.
Needless to say, but similar to all our regular self-supported rides you agree that QoP and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety.
Chips Ahoy!

How do you do fellow Queens,
You might have heard through the QoP grapevine that there's an internal battle happening to conquer the streets of Edinburgh. Well, now you be part of the game as this Wednesday we're riding through Saughton and Stenhouse so that Adna can tick off some extra roads in Wandrer and further secure her crown - komoot link below. If you want to join in on the game longer term link up your Strava with an account over here: https://wandrer.earth/dashboard

Let's drink coffee, eat pastries and ride bikes together. We can call ourselves the Queens of Pain au Chocolat.
We'll meet at Cafe Kweer at 9am. The cafe needs a bit of support so we thought we'd pitch in and help. We will depart the coffee shop for 10am at the latest to do a 18-20km cycle loop through the city https://www.komoot.com/tour/1376183326 . Bring a lock.
