Weather looks nice tomorrow so we'll go on a saunter around Holyrood and up on Calton Hill before making our way back to Leith: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1859234106
-
Time to drink coffee, eat pastries and ride bikes together. Queens of Pain au Chocolat assemble!.
Make your way to Williams & Johnson in Leith at 10am. We'll have a merry pastry & coffee breakfast together after which we'll go for a ride at 10:45am. Route to follow soon but will be a classic QoP city ride (15km or so)
Don't forget a lock!
This will be a strictly no-drop ride. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do.
We encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help). Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.

Hello ride buddies,
This week we're meeting at Newhaven and trying our best not to do a full Cramond loop. So as a treat I'm gonna take you downhill Kaimes, and then we'll wiggle our way back to the Fishmarket for optional chips. Route available here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1749821687

It may be summer but fully charged lights are always a must for your way home, and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. Time to drink coffee, eat pastries and ride bikes together. Queens of Pain au Chocolat assemble!.
Just to give everyone a heads-up we'll meet at Dune in South Queensferry at 9:30 am. Everyone will make their own way to the coffee shop (trains available from Waverley if you don't fancy cycling that early on a Sunday) after which we'll have a merry breakfast together, and start riding back to the city at 10:30am. We'll follow a classic route back through Dalmeny Estate, through Cramond prom and we're gonna finish at Newhaven.
Bring a lock in case you want to sit inside. There is outside seating as well so fingers crossed for a beautiful day!

Ahoy!
We are trialling out a new starting point: Newhaven Harbour! Benefits our friends who live in North Edinburgh and is also handy for everyone else who might fancy some chips at the end of a ride: infinite wins!
The route will be a Cramond Loop - we wouldn't want to change too many things at once: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1658894316?ref=itd&share_token=ahv3LalKKoH8ZRE181IaXbqaFeqRZiElIVFS442URqaTxl8gxA&ref=its
No drops as always. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOM/KOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. While we're riding in the light, you'll need to get home safely so fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet!
A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube or plugs to fix a puncture is a must and some basic tools would be helpful but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and well-being.
See you at the seaside,

Hello,
Let's drink coffee, eat pastries and ride bikes together. We can call ourselves the Queens of Pain au Chocolat.
We're meeting up at Kate's (116 Causewayside, Newington, Edinburgh EH9 1PU) at 9am. We will depart the coffee shop at 9:45am as we have a slightly longer route and I aim to bring everyone back by midday at the Meadows. Our route will take us down the boring but fast road to Dalkeith Country Park, then next to one of my favourite trees, after which we will make out way back to the city using the east side bike lanes near Whitecraig: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1526465940 Bring a lock or check that a buddy will have one to lock bikes together for the coffee shop stop.

Hello everyone!
This week we'll be heading off for a classic Braids loop starting from the Meadows - a true tried and tested and much loved route: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1518343736

Hej!
The event you forgot you loved is back and scheduled for LEAP DAY. We’re going on a mid-week after work adventure to Ikea for dinner. Why Ikea? Well… they’ve got new bike racks that we need to test and I’ve been having a craving for veggie meatballs since November.
Similar to our summer adventure, this is not a classic party pace guided ride. Instead - you decide the pace and the time you leave home so that you make it to Ikea in Loanhead for a 7:30pm dinner! If you are feeling social use the comments section below or the whatsapp group to find a ride buddy. If you want to race it - go for it! If you want to take your time and have fun afternoon shopping for trinkets or a new mattress- you do you! No matter how you get there- the group finish means that we will enjoy some of the finest mass produced Swedish cuisine as a group.
There are two suggested routes for the ride:
Short, direct using bigger and fast traffic streets: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1434315192
Longer, more bike-lane usage: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1434317353Return to the city by following one of the routes back. There'll be more people around for impromptu group rides back if that's your jam.
Needless to say, but similar to all our regular self-supported rides you agree that QoP and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety.
Vi ses där,
Adna -
Please note that there's a route change, not doing Burdiehouse Park option any longer - will wait for longer days to roll on that one.
Event description edited, but just in case new route is here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1439191981

Hello lovelies,
We're gonna set off from the Bristo Sq at 7pm, take the mandatory Love Lane en route to a stroll through South Edinburgh: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1439191981 . Adna will show you her favourite historical pet cemetery and (maybe) some hidden (and alive!) highland cows.
As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Hello dear friends,
I'm delighted to finally get a chance to lead a ride again. Hopefully you will be equally delighted to hear that we're gonna do my favourite little city loop tackling the three peaks: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1425886900 .
We're gonna set off from John Lewis at 7pm. As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Everyone will climb at their own pace - grind it, race it, walk it - we'll cheer you at the top and set down the hill together.

Meet us at Newhaven for a sea (forth) view ride to Porty and back through the east of the city: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1875185802.
Get those lights ready, those mudguards steady, and let’s go!
