This week we're meeting at the Botanics (West Gate) and taking a nice summery ride around town. The temperatures suggest a balmy evening. Route TBD but it will almost certainly be a windy wandering one and pretty flat!
As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. It may be summer but fully charged lights are always a must for your way home, and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help)

We'll start at The Rosebean, in Roseburn Park (by the Armoury Mural) for 9am. We will depart the cafe by 10 AM, so please arrive by then at the latest. Our route will wiggle its way down to Cramond, via some other local parks, and end at Haymarket. The route will be posted shortly! Bring a lock in case you want to sit inside. There is outside seating at The Rosebean and fingers crossed for a beautiful day!

This week we're gonna set off from our Leith Links starting point, at the bottom of Easter Road. Met Office is predicting a dry evening and highs of ELEVEN degrees on Wednesday. To celebrate 'false spring', we will be taking in some green spaces including Figgate Park and Lochend Park. Given sunset hasn't quite caught up with 'false spring', a good set of lights will be useful. Full route posted later today!

There is a short muddy section through cammo estate which is rideable but we will also stop and have time to walk any tricky sections. It’s very beautiful and worth it!
There is also a tricky crossing of Maybury Road. We will probably dismount and walk across and take our time at this section.

Cycling, croissants* and city-exploring are a few of our favourite things. For this QoPain au Chocolat, we will meet at Haymarket at 9 AM and take a quick 20 minute ride out via cycle paths to Patina. There baked goods and coffees and cool sculpture gardens await! Another university semester is in full swing! We may not be freshers anymore, but we can still feel fresh on our bikes. This week we'll be starting at Bristo Square, doing a loop of Arthur's Seat to kick off the ride, and then having a meander through the beautiful streets of the Grange.
