In the spirit of the Festive 500 season we will be running a longer route this week with an earlier than usual departure time. Adna is going to lead us out to Preston Pans and back to help those who are participating in the F500 to get a few extra km's in! We're talking around 30km so with the earlier start our finish time should stay around the same as most weeks.
Meet up is in front of John Lewis for a 6pm departure! Wear your thick gloves and your cosiest base layer and be prepared for some drizzle.
As always this is a strictly no-drop ride. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we are in rainy, icy season and we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tire is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).
