We are going back to the original start point: John Lewis for this week. Route TBD, but likely going south.
Since we've been enjoying a good turnout lately we're giving you the option to join either a party or a power pedal group. The power pedal will leave at 7 pm on the dot and will run at a min speed of 18kph . The usual social party pace group will leave at 7:05.
Regardless of whether you go for the party or power pedal option both groups will be no drop. Please let us know in the comments below which ride you are likely to go for so that we have a number estimate. No problem if you change your mind on the day. We are just trying to avoid having one large 20people group.
Everything else stays the same: we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we are in rainy, icy season and we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tire is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).
