QoP#52 Birthday at Bramblers

Continuing our birthday celebrations (we feel no shame in dragging this out for as long as possible) we will have a special appearance starting point this week, in association with our friends at Bramblers Cycling Ltd. Ruby will lead this weeks ride and will be there nice and early to greet you all.

We will be meeting a little earlier than usual at 6.30pm to enjoy a bit of pre-ride socialising at Bramblers before we set off at 7pm on a chill route at our usual party pace. This will be a chance for those who don't already know Bramblers to get acquainted and for anyone who fancies it to have a pre ride snack, delicious decaf coffee or juice as a way of supporting a local bike business. It will also be a nice way for the Qoplettes to squeeze in some extra bonding time!

Usual rules apply! No drops - we will wait at key points to keep everyone together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must as we are still finishing in the dark at this point and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want everyone to be safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tire is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).

Unfortunately Bramblers will not be able to open this week due to covid. We will still leave from here this Wednesday but we won't be meeting early. See you all tomorrow just before 7pm for our usual 7pm departure!
