Looking forward to seeing you all for our sunny summer special tomorrow. A few pre-ride requests/updates:
- The pre-ordered sun will be delivered, so please prepare accordingly 😎 💧 🧴
- We’ll be departing from Crumbs at 08:30 - scones and coffee are at the end of the ride - so if you’re in need of a pre-ride caffeine fix/snack, please do so before. Crumbs is open from 08:00.
- Please free up your spot if you’re no longer able to make it. I’m sure there are other Queens who’d happily snaffle this.

Come and join us for a Sunday Summer Special Sconnoisseur Spin to Newhailes House & Gardens with Sim.
Our ride has a little bit of everything; proms, paths, parks… and maybe a wee hill - finishing up at the historic gardens of this lovely estate where we can fill our tums with famous National Trust scones. The ride will end at Newhailes, so post-sustenance the option is yours to stay and enjoy the gardens.
There will be a scone (of course), we will see a swan… and there will be a big one (Arthur’s Seat).
No drops as always. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. Lights are still recommended as sometimes life is unpredictable and the ride may run over. We encourage you to wear a helmet!
A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube or plugs to fix a puncture is a must and some basic tools would be helpful but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).
Our rides are completely self supported which means we will be there for you as best we can but you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.
