This week we'll be starting from Lochrin Basin, heading out towards the meadows, looping around the back of Holyrood. Some lovely descents in that first half, bit of a climb (3/4 through). Personally I think the descent after is worth it :)
As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help)
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but by signing up for this ride, you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and well being.

We're gonna set off from the Royal Botanics at 7pm. As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Everyone will climb at their own pace - grind it, race it, walk it - we'll cheer you at the top and set down the hill together.

I will be uploading the route tomorrow afternoon and putting it in the comment section.
See you at the start!

Hello everyone!
This week we'll be heading off through leith links and doing a lovely chilled out loop to portobello, on the way back taking in a section of the Restalrig Railway path that we haven't used too often in QOP (or at least I certainly hadn't until planning/reccing this ride.)

P.s. there is a small section that my garmin tried to get me to go into Aldi car park but its not like that on the komoot route, curious if anyone else gets that weird routing during the ride.
