Hello Queens!
This week unfortunately Kitty won't be able to lead on the night so Emma has very kindly stepped in to lead.
The route will take us through Slateford, to join the water of Leith Path for a little bit, taking in Colinton Tunnel and wiggling back to Fountainbridge Via Craiglochart and Comiston.
Route to be posted in the comments Monday Evening. As always, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together.. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QoMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. We're into long evenings now, but fully charged lights are always a good idea, and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help).
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but by signing up for this ride, you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and well being.

Hello all! Something a little different this week, myself (Kitty) and Alice will be co-leading the ride starting from Bristo Square.
Its been amazing to see new leaders volunteering their time recently and it is incredibly exciting to be in a position to offer support. As always, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together.. Hello everyone!
This week we'll be heading off through leith links and doing a lovely chilled out loop to portobello, on the way back taking in a section of the Restalrig Railway path that we haven't used too often in QOP (or at least I certainly hadn't until planning/reccing this ride.)

P.s. there is a small section that my garmin tried to get me to go into Aldi car park but its not like that on the komoot route, curious if anyone else gets that weird routing during the ride. -
This week we'll be starting from Lochrin Basin, heading out towards the meadows, looping around the back of Holyrood. Some lovely descents in that first half, bit of a climb (3/4 through). Personally I think the descent after is worth it :)
