Let’s take it easy this week—a bikey cruise down to the Cramond prom, past Wardie Bay and back up on another beloved cycle path. A little bit of a kick right at the end but mostly chill gradients and off road chat. Route will be posted tomorrow!
As usual, this is a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help)
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but by signing up for this ride, you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and well being.

Hello QoPers!
This week we're gonna set off from our Leith Links starting point, at the bottom of Easter Road. Met Office is predicting a dry evening and highs of ELEVEN degrees on Wednesday. To celebrate 'false spring', we will be taking in some green spaces including Figgate Park and Lochend Park. Given sunset hasn't quite caught up with 'false spring', a good set of lights will be useful. Full route posted later today!

There is a short muddy section through cammo estate which is rideable but we will also stop and have time to walk any tricky sections. It’s very beautiful and worth it!
There is also a tricky crossing of Maybury Road. We will probably dismount and walk across and take our time at this section.

Cycling, croissants* and city-exploring are a few of our favourite things. For this QoPain au Chocolat, we will meet at Haymarket at 9 AM and take a quick 20 minute ride out via cycle paths to Patina. There baked goods and coffees and cool sculpture gardens await! We will take a 30-45min stop and enjoy treats before heading off on the rest of our 23km ride which takes us through Cramond and along our city’s beautiful cycle paths (full route to be posted Wednesday).

Here's a wind-alternative route, which we will likely revert to given the gusty forecast: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1324716638?ref=wtd&share_token=aHqhY4BmEsNkV3WF2RcFmr4W6D903G26Nf0DmAYBfNpw4rRcnj

Another university semester is in full swing! We may not be freshers anymore, but we can still feel fresh on our bikes. This week we'll be starting at Bristo Square, doing a loop of Arthur's Seat to kick off the ride, and then having a meander through the beautiful streets of the Grange.
Please remember to bring fully charged lights as the nights are getting darker faster (sunset is at exactly 7 PM on Wednesday! OOFT).

Hey QoP!
This week Judith will be taking you around town for a little adventure. We will be starting at Lochrin Basin (say hi to the geese!), heading to Braid Hills Drive, via some cheeky new streets for me, and finishing at Ed Food Fest (https://www.edfoodfest.com/).
Those who want to can stay for some scran, a drink or just a chat with fellow Queens! Let's make the most of the festival fun while we can.

This week as a summer solstice special we will have two rides running with Judith, Ruby and Naomi as leaders!
One will be a more classic QoP ride—under 20km, party pace, and exploring our beautiful city. The other will be longer—30km—and include some mixed surfaces (gravel paths). The 30k route will be heading towards Dalmeny House and back! Routes to be posted before the ride.
You will be able to choose your adventure on the day! But if you know already—leave a comment to let us know if you’re thinking of the shorter or longer ride.
We will set off at 7 pm and both rides will be strictly no-drop rides. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. Time to kick off 2023 with a little ditty: Queens are taking over the city with bikes and fun that is free! First QoP of the year—come one, come all.
No drops as always. We will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to have is a working bike - any type will do. The days are still short (although getting longer!) so fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube or plugs to fix a puncture is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (in case disaster strikes, you will get help with it).
