Howdy QoP!
This week Flora will be taking you along some quieter southside bike paths / neighbourhoods to escape from the remnants of the Fringe crowds. We will be starting outside The Pavilion in the Meadows (please note that our QoP calendar has the starting point at the start of the canal, but we will be leaving from the Meadows this week) and we will head south to explore Burdiehouse Burn. Route to follow! Please remember your lights as the nights are getting darker faster!
We will set off at 7pm for a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. These group rides are more about claiming some precious & potholed tarmac space, rather than chasing QOMs. The only essential thing to bring is a working bike - any type will do. Fully charged lights are a must and we encourage you to wear a helmet! A small request that everyone checks their brakes beforehand as we want to keep you all safe. A spare tube to fix a flat tyre is a must and some tools would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help)
Our rides are completely self supported which mean we will be there for you as best we can but by signing up for this ride, you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.

Queens of Pain! Let's roll! Join Saz, Rebs, and Flora on an extra special Ride with Pride route. We'll leave Bristo Square and stop at various points around the city to learn about Edinburgh's hidden queer history, before finishing the ride at Lost in Leith.
The ride will split into two groups of 20 on the evening (staggered by 15 minutes). This is an inclusive ride - all genders & sexualities welcome!! - but does feature a couple of small climbs. GPS route to follow shortly.
We will set off at 7pm/7:15pm and it will be a strictly no-drop ride. Please arrive 5/10 minutes early so we can do intros and describe how this history tour of Edinburgh is going to work! Our first group leaving from Bristo Square will head out pretty promptly at 7pm.
